228 PAVONE, CHRIS PARIS DIVERSION

Crown Publishers, Inc. 5/7/2019. New hardcover. First Edition, First Printing. in Brand New jacket. Store pick: Every once in a while you encounter a book with such an intricate and creative plot, you simply marvel at how the author can conceive and craft it. This is one of those books. It expands on the typical spy thriller with a complex and intricate plot wrapped around characters who are deeply developed and layered with the everyday realities of family life while responding to a frightening series of terrorist attacks that our heroine, Kate Moore suspects might be masking something deeper and more personal. This is a tautly written thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat. A great read. -Brent B., store volunteer

Jordan is a teenager in Boston in 1950 who has fallen in love with photography and one day hopes to travel the world as a photo journalist. Nina, Ian and Jordan, who you will get to know intimately, are the heart of one of the best novels of historical fiction I have read in years. From Russia and the little known story of one of the most successful bombing squadrons, to post war Boston where no one wants to be reminded of the war, you will be mesmerized by the stories of how the war and its aftermath affected those in it and around it. Quinn weaves their stories intricately together as they all end up in Boston on the trail of The Huntress. It is a thriller, a piece of history and a love story all combined into one book that you don’t want to miss. -Nancy M., store volunteer
